This is the first in a series of information bulletins that will issue to clubs after meetings of the Union’s Management Board. It is not a record of the full business of the Board but a note of points that hopefully will be of interest to clubs. Some of the points will be the subject of separate communications to clubs.

The Management Board met on 3 December 2009 and:

• Agreed to admit All-State NI CC to membership of the Union to play in the Mid-Week League

• Agreed Cup Final venues for 2010 (to be confirmed with host clubs)

• Agreed the format of the 2010 Twenty20 competitions

• Confirmed the Registration Guidance to clubs for 2010

• Noted progress on electronic communications with clubs including competition entries, registrations and results;

• Agreed to Cricket Ireland taking responsibility for Child Protection clearance for clubs

• Agreed to raise the minimum Public Liability insurance requirement for clubs to £2m from 2011

• Agreed the Holiday Inn, Belfast as the venue for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Annual Dinners

• Agreed that the Union should host the 2010 U13 Inter-Regional competition

• Confirmed the final response of the Management Board to the Cricket Ireland Review of Domestic Cricket (to be circulated to clubs)

• Agreed to write to the Minister for Social Development making the case for young people to be permitted on licensed club premises in the evening

• Nominated Instonians for Belfast Telegraph Sports Awards ‘Team of the Year’ and Kyle McCallan for a merit award
