This is the first in a series of information bulletins that will issue to clubs after meetings of the Unions Management Board. It is not a record of the full business of the Board but a note of points that hopefully will be of interest to clubs. Some of the points will be the subject of separate communications to clubs.
The Management Board met on 3 December 2009 and:
Agreed to admit All-State NI CC to membership of the Union to play in the Mid-Week League
Agreed Cup Final venues for 2010 (to be confirmed with host clubs)
Agreed the format of the 2010 Twenty20 competitions
Confirmed the Registration Guidance to clubs for 2010
Noted progress on electronic communications with clubs including competition entries, registrations and results;
Agreed to Cricket Ireland taking responsibility for Child Protection clearance for clubs
Agreed to raise the minimum Public Liability insurance requirement for clubs to £2m from 2011
Agreed the Holiday Inn, Belfast as the venue for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Annual Dinners
Agreed that the Union should host the 2010 U13 Inter-Regional competition
Confirmed the final response of the Management Board to the Cricket Ireland Review of Domestic Cricket (to be circulated to clubs)
Agreed to write to the Minister for Social Development making the case for young people to be permitted on licensed club premises in the evening
Nominated Instonians for Belfast Telegraph Sports Awards Team of the Year and Kyle McCallan for a merit award
