Teacher Taster Day a Great Success
On Wednesday February 10th over 45 teachers from 25 schools returned to their youth and indeed the playground on attending the first ever Schools’ Sports Taster Day in Sportslink. The event was held by Fingal County Council’s Sports Office and their co-funded sports partners: The Football Association of Ireland (FAI), Tennis Ireland (TI), Leinster Cricket Union (LCU), Leinster Rugby (LR), Athletics Ireland (AI) and Sports Conditioning Ireland.
Leinster commence U’11’s girls squad training
Forty young enthusiastic cricketers attended the first ever Leinster U’11 girls training at a two-day training clinic held over the recent school mid-term break. Coaches Barbara McDonald, Carole McGuire, Sean McCann & Keara Pyne put the children through a variety of skill development activities with vast improvements being made over the two days.
Leinster announce U’17 training squad
An U’17 training squad has been selected for winter coaching sessions currently being held at North County Cricket Club. Eight coaching sessions between October and Easter will give the boys an opportunity to further develop their playing skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster U’17’s squad for this summers playing programme.

An U’15 training squad has been selected for winter coaching sessions currently being held at North County Cricket Club. Ten coaching sessions between now and Easter will give the boys an opportunity to further develop their playing skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster U’15’s squad for this summers playing programme.

A training squad has been selected for winter coaching sessions currently being held at North County Cricket Club. Ten coaching sessions between now and Easter will give the boys an opportunity to further develop their skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster U’13’s squad.

A training squad has been selected for winter coaching sessions currently being held at North County Cricket Club. Ten coaching sessions between now and Easter will give the boys an opportunity to further develop their skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster U’11’s squad. The sessions recommence on Friday Feb 5th and last for three weeks.
Draw for Alan Murray 20/20
The draw for the sections was made in Clontarf on Tuesday 2nd February. The draw was on an open basis and had 14 teams. They were drawn into four groups, two of four teams and two of three.

Leinster Cricket Union has been busy preparing a comprehensive programme of cricket fixtures for its young promising players.
Cricket for Ladies/Girls
The Leinster Cricket Union with support from Fingal County Council will be offering a 6 week training programme for girls/women of all ages (beginners & current players).

Leinster coaches will have to opportunity to update and refresh their knowledge through the running of six Coach Development Workshops (CDW’s).
