Rush 82 all out in 30.2 overs LOST TO Clontarf 83/2 in 18.4 overs

Clontarf won by 8 wickets

Home skipper Greg Molins won the toss and had no hesitation in asking Rush to bat first. Rush skipper Niall Mullen decided to lead from the front and opened the batting with Fintan McAllister. Accurate bowling from Ropu Islam and Joe Morrissey saw Rush in trouble early on with three wickets falling with the score on 6. Ropu bowled his ten overs straight through finishing with 4/20 while Joe helped himself to 3/23 off 8.

Tipu Gull was the only resistance with 36* and he was left standing when Rod Hokin mopped up the tail with 3/10 off 5.

In reply Dom Rigby and Eoin Delaney set off like they had a train to catch. Rush chopped and changed their bowling looking for the all important 10 breakthroughs, but only 3rd change Keegan Clarke made an impact with 2/4 off 3. In the meantime Dom had made 22 and Eoin made an unbeaten 43 off 59 balls with 7 fours.
