Rush v Clontarf

A thrilling game in Rush went down to the wire with Clontarf winning in the last over of the game.

Rush complied a total of 285 of their 50 overs with scores from Fintan McAlister 36 Lionel Jansen 78 Naz Shaukat 72 S Gull 34 and S Iqbal 37. Clontarf’s bowling figures Joe Morrissey 2 for 58 of 10 overs and Andrew Poynter 2 for 50 .

In reply Contarf started slowly but eventually picked up the pace and surpassed the Rush total in the very last over. A very fine knock from Eoin Delaney of 92 Andrew Poynter 43 and some big hitting in the last few overs from Bill Coughlan 55 not out and Joe Morrissey 39 not out helped Clontarf take the points
